So can we borrow some players from the Marlies for Saturday ? Because there is nothing left in St-john (there was not much to begin with)

Jesus, now 7 regular out !

Jennifer B Cutler: Habs defeat Stars 4-3 in OT but lose Byron & Gallagher to injuries

Good stuff JBC. Two things:

1. Please, oh please don't start using this phrase regularly:

Phillip Danault impressively controlled the puck in the Stars zone and made a terrific pass to Beaulieu who took advantage of Gallagher screening and distracting Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen as his wrist shot found the back of the net.

Nothing found anything. The puck was shot towards the net, and it went into the net. It wasn't seeking the back of the net. It was seeking to cross the goal line.

2. Apparently, Patch's 8th OT goal only tied the record, and didn't break it.

just saw the Byron injury...it seems that it's a trend now to hit a guy when he's vulnerable.

Emelin did the same thing to Roussel. Kadri has been doing it since he first came into the league. Colby Armstrong perfected the craft. it's nothing new.

saw that. my 2 cents: don't think it matters really. either they control the clock with JA running it 35 times or they get shellacked. i think Miami's QB will have a relatively ineffectual role in the game and there's not enough of a difference between Tannehill and Moore for it to have a big effect.

The captain of the Montreal Canadiens also has a rooting interest in America's Team. But Max Pacioretty is a bit more invested in the Cowboys than James. He has family in the building over at The Star.

I just think RT is more of a threat both with his legs ( if healthy and he clearly isn't) and with the deep ball. Never thought I would type that.

I think they need to open up the game with a play-action pass, and use it to keep the D honest. They can't afford to fall behind in this game and allow the Steelers to pound the ball all game.

well pucks are inanimate objects that lack the sense to seek out anything. but lets say they can seek a goal line, fine. why can they not "find" the back of the net while "seeking" the goal line?

Emelin was engaged with Roussel already. Byron had nothing to do with Sharp when the he was hit.
